Laminated Veneer

Today, with the increase in the understanding of aesthetic concept, people have many aesthetic procedures in order to obtain a more beautiful one. Sometimes it is a surgical operation related to the face and sometimes an operation related to the body. But the issue that many people are not aware of and I would like to mention is what is the role and effect of having beautiful teeth and a smile in order to become beautiful?

What are Lamina Veneers?

Lamina veneers are thin-leaf porcelains that come with minimal or sometimes no abrasion to the front surface of the teeth. Thanks to these thin leaf porcelains, irregularities due to color, shape and anomalies in the teeth are removed aesthetically. The whiteness obtained with laminate veneers is permanent; Factors that cause coloration in natural teeth such as cigarettes, tea and coffee have no coloration effect on laminate veneers.

The thickness of these thin leaf porcelains varies between 0.2 mm and 0.7 mm according to the case. They are the thinnest and most aesthetic applications compared to other coating methods used in dentistry. Adhesion systems are chemically made with laser, unlike other coating bonding methods.

As this process, after taking full-face and intraoral photographs of our patients who applied to our clinic in the first session, and if necessary, minimal abrasion is made on the anterior surfaces of the teeth where the laminae will be placed, and after measuring, we try to obtain a smile suitable for the face of our patient by referring to the anatomical points in the facial photographs we have obtained. Of course, we can apply changes in line with the wishes of our patients here, then at the end of a 1-week period, we show the teeth made to our patient who came to the second session in the mouth and get his approval and proceed to the bonding process. In this process, if our patient requests, we can apply it by correcting the teeth.

After the laminate veneers are attached, I give every patient information about how to do the proper oral care. Because no matter what procedure is done in dentistry, the life of the work done depends on the care after the procedure. In short, I can say 50% hand sensitivity of your doctor, 50% patient oral care. No extra oral care procedures are applied in the care of lamina veneers. Brushing by massaging in a circular circular form 2 times a day (at least 2 minutes on all surfaces of the teeth) and flossing before going to bed in the evening will be sufficient.

In addition, many people today are afraid of the thought that their teeth will be irreversibly damaged by cutting and wearing them. In such people, Non-Prep, that is, the laminas that are made on their own teeth without any cutting or abrasion on the teeth. To make Non-Prep laminates, tooth structure and arch form must be indicated.
